zimmermann SS12/13

Zimmermann's splattering of colour and circular cutouts created a unique twist to the current femininity trend, seeking inspiration from the glamour of the 1950s housewife. The collection embraced the female form enhanced with lace, florals and flowing fabrics.Interest was created through a mix of prints and textures experimenting with silhouettes, hem lengths and transparencies. The mesh and floral combinations seem more like a garden chicken coop than a runway and the colour palette of this collection has dulled compared to Zimmermann's famous bright hues and strong prints. Regardless the ruching and the strategic cutouts would be a delight to wear confirming a great array of ready-to-wear pieces presented by Australian designer Zimmermann.
